I've used Hankook on my MR2, but not winter tires. Just the speed rated ones. I can say they handle quite well.So can't help you there, but I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the forum!

    Blizzak WS70 replacement

First I would like to thank everyone who posts on this site about Blizzaks for the Scion FR-S, they are great tires and do an amazing job.

    My situation:
I bought a set of WS70's from a tire store chain and purchased some insurance/road hazard protection which the store would replace my tire if I were to hit a bad pothole. So today I hit a hidden pothole (covered in snow) and the tire needed to be replaced. Changed the tire to my donut and was good to go. Called my store to see when I can get my tire replaced and they said they are out of stock because it is February and all the WS70's are sold. To solve that issue they are giving me a Hankook winter tire with "similar tread" in a couple days, I did not get which specific tire it is yet.

Does anybody have info on quality of Hankook tires? Should I demand a Blizzak tire?

Any other advice about my situation is appreciated.
