Need helpful advice on suspension setup...

Hey i need help deciding what suspension to go with, also what offset is in this pic as I want this exact setup on my FR-S..

First of all, I'm having trouble deciding between springs n shocks or coilovers. I hear good and bad about both, I'm leaning towards H & R springs with Koni shocks for my eventual 18 x 8.5 44 offset front and 18 x 9.5 38 offset rear wheels( which I THINK is what's pictured...)

Does anybody have a setup close to this? will the ride comfort be severely compromised? will the tires rub? should I go with coilovers?

any advice would be appreciated. thanks

The setup you have listed should work. It's not that aggressive so you shouldn't have problems. You can always play around with camber to get more clearance.

You can do springs and struts or go for a quality coilover system like the KW V3.

Depends what your priorities are. There are cheaper coilovers and springs that will do the job if you just want to lower your car and increase the stiffness a little bit. The ride quality suffers either way.

Thanks! I like the KW V3s but holy crap 2300$ ......the Tein street flux coilovers were around 1600$ and a bit more in my price range

Also, I'm probably never going to track the car, plus I'm concerned I'll get some body roll with coilovers, I may just go the springs n struts route.

If I was going for springs and struts I'd go for custom spring rates and have the struts revalved accordingly. It's the only proper way to do springs and struts.

Personally I you aren't going for the KW V3s I'd just go for a $1000 coilover. My recomendations are the BC Racing BRs or ISC N1s. Both can have customized spring rates. Teins are just overpriced taiwanese dampers that aren't really that performance featured.
