I try to keep telling everyone I know how bad all seasons are during the winter time. Hopefully when I show them this they realize what I've been telling them. Thanks for posting this.

Some people need to see it for themselves first before they believe. I for one have been perfectly fine using all-seasons in the winter time. But after seeing the side by side comparison I don't think I want to risk that one time where don't perform to my expectations.

Yeah, of course winter Tires are better. That's a given. Compare All Seasons to Summer Tires on Dry Pavement and guess which one is going to be better? LOL

    This just states the obvious.

But people who do have all season need to drive accordingly. People with Winter Tires will have slightly more control, etc. But when it comes to Ice it doesn't matter what you have. You will slide. Oftentimes people with 4x4's or Winter Tires think they are invincible because of Videos like this.

You gotta remember Tire Rack is only interested in one thing, selling tires. If they can scare a few people into buying Winter Tires when they may not need too, bonus for them. How many people will actually be driving on Roads that are completely covered in snow and not plowed at all?

I see a lot of that in my area, which receives little foul weather. Time and again, people get into deep trouble because they put too much faith in AWD and not enough into smart driving.
