Cool The official FR-S gas mileage thread

Howdy folks, a good portion of you have had your FR-S lurking around for a while now so let's start assembling some data. All you're going to need do is post here with your two tank average fuel mileage, your transmission type, your driving style and your typical commute if applicable. (Also include any relevant modifications if you have them.)

Fuel mileage isn't important just to the misers out there, it can be an important baseline to have to understand aspects of your car's performance and health over the years so don't be lazy! Record it now.

Not necessary. Most of the information you seek is already at Fuelly.com.

What are most of you guys averaging with conservative driving/aggressive . Sometime the numbers can be misleading. My wifes car rates at 40 hwy but I can only acheive that with cruise control. Actually gets 40+. But with my driving style gets 37. Rambling lol.

I have over 4000 miles on mine already and been keeping track on a spreadsheet my mpg every time I've put gas in it. My last input was at 3900 miles and having burned 123 gallons total...resulting in about 32mpg overall. Primarily been driving on the highway & not too aggressive throughout the city. Just finished driving a 700 mile trip from NC to IL this weekend and averaged 34mpg.

Fuelly.com is an awesome resource. Been using it for every car I've ever considered.

Yeah I've been poking about on Fuelly, but there are some serious gaps in the data. I just am trying to figure out what to expect, because the best way to be rich is to spend less. (Lived by that my whole life and it has saved me a lot of trouble and stress.)

I think you shouldn't be too concerned about mileage for the FR-S.

For a sports car it gets some very good mileage compared to it's competitors.

Ah, but like I've said before I'm a strange old fart with strange questions and priorities.

I have 1600 miles on mine. Have averaged about 27.2 on even combination of highway and city. And I drive aggressive. Everytime I get her out, she revs to at least 6,000 at least one time.

35.1 mpg the day I took her home. I babied her that day

I am going to track mine on fuelly.com now, mostly to track my money/year (although it is what it is), thanks to posting that site here I didnt know that existed. I just put my first fuel up on the site and my gas mileage was something that started with a 2..... good enough for me

Actually we've got three or four mileage threads. I'm going to merge them all together and make the final thread a sticky.

My first tank of 100% city with the exception of one 20 mile 60mph trip I averaged 25.6mpg and when I say city I mean one mile commute and short trips less than .5 miles. i'm taking a 200 mile pure highway trip this weekend and i'll post numbers!
