    Issues already

Just bought a new to me 2015 FR-S,and i already have electrical problems. Thats my worst enemy, more mechanical.here lies my probelm, I start the car ,put it drive and start to go down the and my flashers turn on,then turn off and come on again. I'm puzzled, any ideas!!!also when I put the car in reverse then blinkers come on without blinking, sounds like a short, but where do I start.

I’m not turning them on, they come on by themselves. But I will check the flasher

Unfortunately, electrical problems can be the most difficult issue to nail down and fix in any car. To start with, do you have the FSM or the electrical schematics for your car?

The FSM is the factory service manual, which is the "bible" used by professional mechanics and car enthusiasts to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. If you're going to perform any serious work on your car yourself you should buy one, or else purchase a subscription to Toyota's TIS (technical information system), which is the FSM accessible online.

I would start by using a test light on the battery in order to narrow down which electrical system is affected. It's like peeling an onion or artichoke to get to the heart of the problem. We'll see what @MR2Jedi thinks about investigation your issue in that manner.

TrailDust is correct in one aspect, you may have a bad ground.
I also recommend testing the flasher unit, and the flasher switch .

I would recommend at least purchasing a two-day subscription to Toyota's Technical Information System, which is the factory service manual online. That would allow you to not just view but download the electrical system schematics to help you nail down the source of the fault.

Could moisture in one rear light cause the problem, my RX-8 had the same moisture but no issues

It's possible . Moisture in the positive contact point can ground it out.
