The Scion FR-S was spotted at the famous Nurburgring. The Scion FR-S video here shows some differences between the FR-S concept and what we are seeing in this thread.

The FR-S exterior styling hasn't changed by much other than the crazy looking diffuser on the concept.

Looking forward to hear the official Scion FR-S specs to be released at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show.

RWD, LSD, and the option of a 6 speed manual!! I was hoping to hear the FR-S exhaust note but it sounds really quite in that video.

The speaker in the video mentioned "automatic transmissions" anyone know what automatic transmissions will be available?

The only info we have on the automatic is that it will be a 6speed with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Don't get too excited and don't mistake it with the automanuals in super cars. It will most likely be just an automatic that lets you shift on your own, if you choose to do that. I also read somewhere that it will be slower than the manual.

I am sticking with the manual, but to each their own.

I wish they kept the rear diffusor... that thing look amazing! but the also looks like a subaru wing so it could possible be the subaru version....

if thats the production model they really toned down on the design of the car. the curves are as nice. the taillights seem slightly different. and no rear diffuser even the front looks tamed down. darn. i like how it was chasing a supra haha

Seeing the FT-86 chasing the MKIV supra makes you think they were trying to make the FT-86 as good as the MKIV supra. Too bad the "new supra" is the LFA, not much people will have $300 000 to shell out for a LF-A.

Since were on the Supra topic, I really think a MKV supra needs to be made. FR-S clearly cannot be it, and the LF-A's MSRP is a major turn off. An inbetween model would be perfect.
