HKS Test Drives the new Toyota 86 / Scion FR-S (ENGLISH Subtitles)

The HKS D1 driver gives his input on the stock Toyota 86 / FR-S. He states its an "honest car". And that it should be easy to get use to the car. He believes the brakes could be improved. It's a good "base car" for modifications. He also test drives the automatic and enjoys how easy and quick it is. Power comes on above 4000rpm. He also states that the steering ratio is poor. The handbrake works really well.

They go on to show the stock 86 being modded by HKS on the dyno. This is the part where earlier they showed us a dyno reading but later took it down.

There are good driving clips with good audio of the HKS Toyota 86. Whatever exhaust they used brought out the boxer grumble a bit. Looking forward to seeing what it is. Its definately official that HKS will enter their 86 into the D1 races.

As good at the FR-S i knew that HKS couldnt do much with the car with the 1 month they had to tune the car.

What Tenguchi said about the car ideally generalizes and says what everyone else says its an honest car, The car is a drivers car and people who race this car it will deff just become a drivers race.

Thought im very curious to see what they will do for D1GP and what power numbers they plan to push out.
