Scion FT-S, Lexus GS to Bow at NY Auto Show

Toyota is planning big things for the NY Auto Show for its two sub-brands, Lexus and Scion. According to recent reports, Lexus will showcase an all-new version of its GS sedan in the Big Apple.

There's no word on if it will be a production model or a concept, but the car will be crucial for the Lexus brand with little in the way of new product recently while competitors in the segment (including the new BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class) have jumped well-beyond the GS.

Earlier this week, Toyota announced its new Global Vision, which indicated the automaker's intentions for the Lexus brand, noting quality and value as key components, while looking to add an emotional ride, advanced technology and a focus on design.

Looking at the 2012 Lexus GS teaser picture's, It looks really good, but from the few pictures I've seen it looks too much like the typical Lexus sedan. I have yet to see some impressive design features on the 2012 GS. Can't wait to see the 2012 Lexus GS pictures, it might change what I currently think about the GS.
