Toyota sued over hybrid technology

You always here about David vs Goliath legal battles where a normal person files a lawsuit against a huge company. In most cases you see the huge company winning due to having an army of well payed lawyers and also armed by the fact that most normal people can't hold out too long for a settlement and will most likely run out of money to pay for their legal fees before a decision has been made by the judge. Here's a story of how Alex Severinsky did the exact opposite and won a 5 year long legal battle against Toyota regarding Hybrid technology.

I really couldn't believe he won when I first read the article. Though it is very possible that Toyota developed their technology independently from his and it was just pure coincidence. Either way Toyota has more than enough money to spread around.
