Heard of Cell phones with GPS? How about GPS with a cell phone!

While there's hundred of cell phones that have a built in GPS to the unit. Most of these are very basic GPS that don't really get the job done. Well Garmin made the exact opposite. They made a GPS unit that also doubles as a cell phone. While you might think that this will be a good GPS but will fail as a cell phone, think again. It will be Android powered meaning it will have more features than you'll know what to do with. For the full article on Autoguide click the link below.

I'll hold back on my opinions til I see what this phone can actually do. I rarely see a cell phone do what it actually promises it can do. Most of the time theres bugs in the firmware, features are laggy, etc....

Pointless... wouldn't you still have to subscribe with a phone company to get this to work? Why would I want that when I'm already chained to an existing contract with my crappy carrier?

One of those things that seems like a really good idea on paper and then when its developed too many features and quality gets knocked off the list. Keep them seperate.

I almost bought a Garminfone but I got a smokin deal on a Galaxy S Vibrant.
Google Nav with the Vibrant's GPS turned on is smoother and more accurate than my Garmin Nuvi 750 with lifetime update. It re-routes me more often but its quick to correct back.

Yeah. I'll admit it. lol. Tho I don't own a computer so the phone is my only connection to internets other than my office box.

btw, if my Blackberry was Crack the Vibrant is like shooting a speedball while simultaneously blowing your load in your [insert dream girl]'s mouth. Makes going back to the Bb experience about as pleasurable as a mild sneeze-fart.
