    Toyota China strike finally over

For anyone following this news. Here's an update.

Toyota Gosei's Tianjin plant in China has reopened after three days of strikes.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the company - an official supplier to Toyota - has offered workers increased pay if they meet performance targets.
However, it refused demands for an additional pay rise over a 20 per cent increase previously offered.
Honda workers in southern Guangdong in China recently ended a strike after securing a pay rise.

its funny how they had to close down the plant again. not because they went on strike but one of the parts manufacturers for toyota has an ongoing strike and toyota ran out of fuel injectors for their cars. talk about irony. they reopen their factory only to close it down just a few days after.

Isn't the Honda plant on strike as well? Can't imagine what kind of living and working conditions are over there.

EDIT: Oops should have read the whole post, Honda is back

Why wouldn't they be allowed to strike? You have to remember they're hired workers there, not slaves.

So the strike was over a pay increase? I guess the market will bear this rise in cost eventually. good for them but maybe not good for the consumer.
