When do you stop loving your car?

I know for most of us, the answer is probably never... but realistically, there has to be a time when your car is not as important as when you first got it. When was the honeymoon period over for you... or do you still love it like you did in the beginning?

I absolutely love my car!!! As much as I care, I definitely am not as particular with certain things as I was in the beginning. When I first got my car, I'd part as physically far away from other cars as possible, and I'd wash it all the time. Now, I will park near the rest of civilization, but I do avoid parking beside those who clearly can't park, and I will let the car get dirty from time to time.

I don't think I'll ever stop loving my car in that way... I do think the day will come when I get another one and the whole cycle will start again. Btw, this is my first car.

Usually after 4 or 5 years for me and than I have to upgrade something on it to keep it new or upgrade to a new car. Nothing like the satisfaction of buying a new car and going through the honeymoon stage all over again!

    Never!!!

Even if I get another car, I will still love and care for my previous car just the same.

When I get my FT-86, I'll re-evaluate the situation then

Understandable. I wonder if the honeymoon is over once the "new car smell" is gone hehe

I don't buy a car if I don't love it, so I never get over the passion. Sometimes I just need to upgrade though!

I go through cars like people change clothes. That way, the honeymoon never ends! It also saves on maintenance costs.

I agree... I love my car, but it would be nice to have something a bit faster and preferably RWD or AWD... but I love it regardless. If I didn't love it from the beginning, I wouldn't have invested my hard earned money into it.

    LOL@fat comment.

That is a tough question to answer to be honest. I guess there is no set time frame, its just the point where when you drive your car and it becomes more of a routine rather than something you look forward too or really really enjoy.
