Car commercials count among the most epic of TV spots, no matter the product. Car and car-related companies have spent giant money to cast their products in short-form action thrillers. What's the best commercial of all time? There's just one such commercial that falls readily to mind. I had to watch it again, and it didn't disappoint. That's the Shell/Ferrari 60-year celebration spot from 2007. The gestalt combination of cars, location scenery, cinematography and sound design makes this the single greatest example of automotive brand promotion in history. Not that others haven't tried, or come close.

Almost always hated commercials lol but this is one of those commercials you have to watch. I just wonder how the FR-S commercial will turn out. Being a new sporty car that's suppose to sell like crazy, I bet Scion/Toyota has some wild plans for it.

Ahhh I remember that commercial. Sends chills down my back everytime. Shows Ferrari and its contribution in the evolution of car technology as well as Shells sponsor to Ferrari in its quest for the ultimate driving machine.

now just imagine if we can get an amazing sound coming like that from the FR-S, we'll be breaking necks all the time!

it will be funny, people will think some exotic car will be pulling up and they end up seeing a Scion!

The FT86 should still sound pretty nice. Im confident in that. Hopefully the FR-S is going to have the same exhaust as the FT86. The exhaust should be sports tuned. The cylinder head is being designed by Yamaha. Yamaha designed the exhaust acoustics of the LF-A which sounds veryyy sexy. Looking forward to what Yamaha does with the FR-S FT86

Only downfall is the LFA is a V10 or V12 w/e it is

while what Yamaha has to worth with here the the boxer rumble, which in all our minds turn to subaru and the same exhaust rumble note always here, how will they fine tune that into an amazing sound, only time will tell.

I am not so sure that its the BOXER rumblr. Porsches have fine tuned sounds yet they are still flat engines. It's more the intake and exhaust design.
