Toyota FT-86 FR-S OEM Tires

What tires do the FT-86 and possibly the Scion FR-S come with? High performance all season tires? Not really...

The recent test mule drive overviews state that the cars came with 215/45 R17 Michelin Green X Tires aka Toyota Prius tires...

Any reviews on these tires? They don't sound spectacular.

Drifting is a huge part of the appeal of the FT-86, just as it continues to be for the AE86. Our car was fitted with 215/45 R17 Michelin Green X tyres all round – aka Toyota Prius tyres. This made it laughably sideways in second gear, the back end stepping out with relatively mild – and sometimes almost no – provocation. For the average driver, this makes exploring the limits far easier than in anything else currently on sale.

The Prius is your typical A to B family sedan, I really hope these tires are good. Never heard of them, but I guess it works well with the spec's of the FT86/FR-S.

I have a feeling when a FT-86/FR-S review is done, the reviewer(s) will suggest upgrading the wheel/tire combo.
