Both CAR and AUTOCAR state a weight distribution of 53/47% front to rear on the Toyota FT-86 prototype / test mule. Could production be any different? Not sure really...
How does this compare to competitors? POST EM UP PEOPLE.

From prototype/test mule to production there will be a difference but I doubt it will be anything noticeable.
I think the S2K has a better weight distribution, some honda guy told me it's almost 50/50, not sure if thats true
Drifters will love a slight front weight bias.
front heavy good for drifting,,, i wonder what the weight numbers will look like once the brakes are applied... maybe it would of been better if it was rear heavy..
What was the weight distribution for the original ae86?
i think there about the same as the fr-s 53/47... or somewhere long those numbers... the ae86 was a hell of a car to drive!
53/47 is great, but i see under braking the car could achieve 50/50 weight balance which would equal to awesome steering!
Though i still think 2700 LBS is still a tad heavy.
The S2000 is 50/50. same with the rx8. 370z is 54/46. 55:45 for the Genesis coupe. ae86 is 53:47. google ftw so the ft-86 has maintained the exact same weight distribution of the ae86
Ahhhh. That is a really cool fact. Same weight distribution as the ae86 can only mean good things. Same weight distribution, lower center of gravity. Sounds like a winner to me. Someone needs to get their hands on the TRD version.
thats still a very cool fact, that its still carrying traits over from the ae86
Yes that is a great fact. I want this car now.
get in line please. Autopista somewhat confirmed rumor of June 2012 availability? Thats very far away. Also stated the toyota version will be the cheapest version of the 3. Does this mean the Scion version will offer more features?
-Mugen NHBP RSX-S
-2011 Honda Fit
-2012 Scion FR-S on order
i think when they mention toyota being the cheapest of them all i think they are talking about the bare bones model that has almost nothing...
hopefully sub28k with scion mono spec, but even still scion should offer all the packages levels as "options"
