Toyota FT-86 Scion FR-S Official Wheelbase

So according to recent reviewers of the FT-86 protoype test mule car...

Someone used own foot to do a rough estimate of the wheelbase and got a measurement of around 2400mm.

How does this compare to the competition? Everyone post up competitor wheelbase numbers.

I believe the FR-S Wheelbase is close to the S2000 wheelbase, somewhere I remember reading the S2K wheelbase being a number like that.

the S2K was a track warrior!

Doubt they would change the wheelbase. Its quite a bit of redesign to change the wheelbase.

It sure is a lot of work, time and money to change the wheel base since changing it can throw off everything else. It might have them start all over again!

That is true. We can't take a test mule 100% seriously since it's nothing official and confirmed. But from many pictures showing the test mule and then the concept the wheelbase seems like it didnt change

It's way too much work to change the wheelbase from the Prototype. Plus Toyota has said that the prototype is 90 percent of the production car.

Changing the wheelbase would put you back at ground zero on development. Suspension, steering, tires etc. would all need to be addressed again.

For sure. Especially for the handling. I mean it may change if they change the control arms slightly. But there wont be any huge changes in wheelbase. Too much work to change the chassis.

Changing the Chasis would require them to re-engineer the whole suspension geometry...

dont think that is going to happen.
