    Toyota FT-86 FR-S Suspension

    -MacPherson strut front suspension
    -Double wishbone rear-end
    -Mitsubishi made springs
    -Sachs and Showa shock absorbers.

    What do you guys think?

    MacPherson strut front suspension is what i heard from many major automotive new websites. Has anyone seen this mentioned?

    figured i would shed some light on this topic. specifically with MacPherson .....

    it really sounds like a franken car... but mitsu springs... whats the point there.... toyota couldnt make their own? lol

    SHOWA japans biggest shock im sure with their struts the car will handel amazing, but the car needs thicker sways in a bunch of the photos i saw.

    The TRD package will offer fully adjustable suspension. Now that is something I'd like some info on. Wonder how low it goes. And also what the spring rates are. When they say fully adjustable does that mean you can adjust the dampening as well?

    That is generally what they mean by fully adjustable. If the dampening and height weren't adjustable what does the fully adjustable mean?

    They are basically giving TRD coil overs on the TRD FT-86.

    yeup pretty much...

    from the sounds of it... its 2 way adjustable maybe more pending if it uses camber plates..

    I also would like to know more about the TRD adjustable suspension, such as how low the car can go, limitations, warranty, etc.

    it will be very intresting how Toyota will offer this warranty.. and how they plan to allow us to modify the car...

    I am pretty sure the coilvers dont thread that low. They would allow you to lower it that much. It is designed by Toyota, they will for sure cover themselves. Plus they probably have tamper proof coilovers. You probably have to go back to Toyota to adjust it or they will void your warranty.

    Well wouldnt that be a huge pain driving your car back to Toyota, just to have your car height adjusted and, you would have to pay for it.. wouldn't that be a scam..
