Unlike a lot of smaller car brands, I haven't heard much complaints about Scion, which is why im on this forum. Like many others I have a lot of faith in the brand, especially since it's a sub-brand from Toyota.
Scion is still a fairly new company but because they are heritage from Toyota they should be just as reliable as Toyota cars.
i would agree scion should be okay , and the fr-s was developed by Toyota fully and not scion, but its just being sold as scion so it should be of no issue.
I have an xD, it has only been in the shop once for a mechanical engine issue (fixed under warranty).
ALTHOUGH, I have to say that the little car rattles and vibrates terribly.
The dash, the speakers, door panels, trunk area etc., all make noises. And this has been going on since I bought the car. All this is pretty well documented across the xD forums w/ other owners.
I just hope that the FR-S is wrenched together better. That is the main thing I'll be looking/listening for when I test drive.
My two new American cars have had 0 noises and have had 0 repairs.
Current Cars:
Viper SRT Mamba
SRT8 300C
FJ(All the kewl stuff)
Scion xD(All the neato add-ons)
