FR-S, FT-86 & BRZ suspension setup to be European-like

A recent statement noted that the suspension setup found in the Scion FR-S, Toyota FT-86 & Subaru BRZ will be tuned with European "flavor"

European cars from brands like BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, etc are known to have industry leading suspension & handling, if we can get something similar I think that will make this car even better.

Key components such as the dampers will be of a higher specification than is usual at its £20,000 price point, and the handling is being tuned with a European favour. The stability control system, for example, will allow a degree of drift before intervening.

Wonder what they mean when they say Euro biased handling. How will the FRS FT86 handle like an BMW? Less power less weight. It should handle quite differently.

usually BMW's are a bit heavy with good power.
good example is the E46 BMW M3 inline 6 making 333HP all motor and it's clearly not light!

they might of meant the FR-S might have handling as good as the euro cars?

European suspension. What does that mean. HAHA. I know European sports cars have good dampening for a what is pretty decently stiff suspension. But the Japanese have created some pretty nice suspension as well. Look at the Civic Type R.

given that the FR-S is being built with weekend racers and car enthusiasts in mind and with the direction the FR-S is heading into now, AND with the recent reports of a crazy suspension system that could allow for some drift action (if you push it that far) a stiffer suspension is VERY likely.

highly doubt the FR-S will have much body roll, this will be a car Scion wants you to beat the crap out of on the track right out of the box.

I don't think you will find any manufacturer anywhere that is wanting you to do this to a car they are going to warranty, especially a $20k car.

usually half the great cars are fankenstein like... like shoving 2jz into every car possible.. and ls1 also into every car possible... with suspension in the rear from a ford... and the front for a honda...

Drift teams will love the FR-S. No way this car isn't going to be drifted. Its the successor to the AE86! COMMON.
