The engine in the Toyota FT-86 race car is probably the beefed up boxer engine that is suppose to be in the production model Toyota FT-86.

Anybody else notice the steering column going through the firewall? Looks to me like conventional hydraulic steering instead of the column mounted electric setup of the LFA.

I would hope for a hydraulic steering system. We get a good look at the steering column and door panels as well. Any way these could be like the production model? 7500rpm redline. Wonder if the production FR-S FT-86 will have the same redline. Was expecting a higher redline.

i hope to god they do not put an electric steering system on that car.. there going to kill it with that and the Numb steering most Toyota cars have...

8000 RPM rev limit on a flat 4 is pretty high i wonder if it'll make it into the production model.. i doubt it though

well now based on what top gear said about the motor, we should be good! around 200BHP , but i wish they put the BRZ sub 300BHP motor into the fr-s...
