It is apparently 200ps and 1100kg.
Could this model hint us of anything towards the production?
1100KG race spec! but production spec i see different numbers.. prob a tad heavier with the deadening and full interior!
but 200PS seems about right!
I think this car looks awesome, and (from what I've seen before) is basically the production version. I love the brake cooling ducts, brakes, and wing and really hope they make it to production. What is it, 4 piston fronts and two piston rears? And whoever said they wanted some projector headlights, looks like Toyota listened. That front grill looks ready for an intercooler, and I like the 17 inch wheels but wonder if you can't go a little wider in the rear.
You can really get a feel for the cars size too. The top of the doors seem to sit about waist high on these guys and the guy kneeling inside doesn't look to have a whole lot of room in there. I can see how this car should be a blast to drive. However, if this race car weighs 2,425 lbs (i had to convert it), then theres no way the production version will weigh 2,550.
On a seperate note, I have been told by two sources now that Greddy will have an FRS at SEMA this year. I had trouble believing it at first but these pictures prove that maybe Toyobaru is loosening the reigns on this car. If the car shows up a SEMA it will be heavily modified, I'm sure, but I'm just excited that I'll get to see it in person.
I dunno, Full Race prepped cars have lots of equipment that street cars dont. Things like Roll Cages, Fire systems, etc. I think it might be an close to an even trade off in weight. Heck that full cage probably weighs 300lb+ I still think 2555 is the magic number until we get the real specs.

Roll cages can weight quite a bit. I hope this hints us of the FT86 production. 200hp 2500lbs. 17" rims, 4 pot calipers. Are there any differences between this race car and the production that you guys can see?
those brakes on the front almost look like a 4 pot design just doesnt seem like one right off the bat.. but the caliper size is huge! even with the rear calipers as well!
According to the race report, it seems like it finished 3rd place in class SP3. Congrats
Apparently someone who was there reported that he saw that the shocks were made by KYB
1100 kg and 200 PS = 5,5 kg/PS
1100kg is the weight of the race car. So production will be 1200kg+ in stock form?
The brake duct cooling is just an awesome feature on a production car. Hope it makes it.
Looking at those photos this car just looks really small in size.
3rd place is not bad. I did some research and the Civic Type R beat it.
By quite a bit.
Is 215/40R17 a common tire size?
Im looking for tires and it doesnt seem like there are many types of tires made for 215. There are much more choices for 225/45/17
Those are racing slick tires. A 215 R compound would be like 225-235 thickness. With that in mind for street tires you could probably run up to 225. MAYBE 235. Depends how wide the tire is. Wonder what the offset is.
