The FR-S Soapbox racer was in the build process last month to take part in the soapbox race recently. Found some pictures and information on the race, check it out!

The Scion FR-S Soapbox racecar recently participated in the Red Bull Soapbox Race in downtown LA.

Scion is on the verge of launching their first ever compact sports car.To commemorate the occasion, the Toyota subsidiary has taken their FR-S Five Axis Concept and produced a mini version for the Red Bull Soapbox Race.The munchkin FR-S was designed to build hype for the car's forthcoming debut. The soapbox racer participated in the world's (probably) foremost race of its genre that also includes a 90 degree banked turn and two jumps.

The car was built in hilarious proportions and was piloted by Formula Drift Racer Daijiro Yoshihara.The Red Bull Soapbox Race is held bi-annually and is located in downtown Los Angeles.

it sure does have working brakes, wilwood brakes to be exact. sadly enough this soapbox racer has better brakes than some cars you see at the local race track haha

I hope the real FR-S will have some good brakes and nothing basic. Fingers crossed for Brembo's!

I think Scion brought her along just in case people get confused at the soapbox FR-S they can still grab the crowds attention with the asian model lol
