Where are Scion automobiles made? Japan? Canada? America? Pluto?

Where are Scion cars made? Did some research and got a bunch of random answers with most of them saying 100% Japan. There are some guys who say some parts of their tCs are made in Kentucky. Some guys pull up an article saying they are made in Canada. So where exactly are the Scion cars made?

Where do you think the FR-S will be made? FT-86?

I would much prefer Japan. Their quality control and work ethics are better then American and Canada (no offense)

From what I've heard the tC is made in Japan. And I hope the FR-S is made in Japan as well.

I've never read of which location/country it's to be produced, but when I do find out I'll be sure to post up.

From previous Scion articles i've read, Toyota's main manufacturing plant is where Scion parts are made for the north american market. I believe the Scion xB and xD parts were made at the main plant in Japan. As for assembly, I don't know if they do it at the same plant or if it's send to a Toyota assembly plant elsewhere.

To the best of my knowledge, all vehicles produced under the Scion brand are assembled in Japan. I don't see why this would change for the FR-S, and have to say that I agree about Japanese asembled vehicles having higher quality parts. But just because the car is assmebled in japan does not necesarily mean that the parts will be 100% japanese. The parts for this car will likely come from dozens of different suppliers from different countries.

So true, where automotive parts are made just doesn't justify it's quality all the time. A lot of stuff manufactured in China are as good as trash, reason being, most people that choose to setup in China are looking for a quick buck, so the quality of the material alone says a lot for the product.

I don't care if it's made in China, India, USA or Japan, if it's a good quality product it should last a while.

My tC was built in Japan and shipped to Miami if I remember. I know the xA and xB were already sold as the Toyota aA and bB in Japan but I think they brought the manufacturing here.

I would rather the FR-S be assembled in Japan. I understand that parts are made from all over the world. I find Canadas assembly plants are kinda crappy.

Canada and Mexico suck. I expect Toyota will follow suite and build the FR-S in Japan, but it being based on a Subaru?

that's just what I was thinking, it just makes sense to use that facility to make the FR-S.

if they were going to change that, I think it FR-S parts would be made in Japan and the FR-S assembled in it's launch markets.

I found out today that the Fr-S is likely gonna be produced at a Subaru plant. And I think that most of their vehicles are still made in Japan.

Salesperson at my shop told me a couple days ago. He's been following the potential color options very closely.
