Newbie: wanna build the prefomance on my new FR-S!

I just bought this new beautiful FR-S.. I don't have to work on the exterior just yet because its ****ing gorgeous off the bat! I do however want to put another 150-200 horses in her. My question's are 1. Do I need a clutch kit upgrade in order to install a turbo? 2. Are there any turbo kits available out there that include clutch kits. 3. Do I need to buy her some new shoes, preferable wider ones.

To answer two of your questions, I haven't seen any clutch/turbo kits. I think you have to buy each separately, but a clutch upgrade isn't required. I think there are a few running off the stock clutches already.

If you are adding around 100whp I think you would be ok with the stock clutch. I'm not sure about 200whp. That would put it close to 400whp. The stock clutch likely won't last very long.

yes you would need better tires. The stock tires would melt at 300-400whp.

Regarding clutches, any good suggestions for replacements for the stock that aren't really race oriented but can still handle a fair amount of power?

Thanks for all the replies, and yes I have a ton of room in there, I absoultly love that they built these cars for tall guys too. Just a little worried about the weight factor. I weigh 245 and I'm in a car the weighs 2750lbs so I now realize that I need to gut at least 100lbs, I think I'll start with the wheels**********anyone know where to find some affordable "wider" wheels under $2000.00 (tires included) 17" or (18"- preferably)? I did some online shopping and I can't find a better deal then 2000.00. ********Also what parts of the vehicle do I NOT need?

I'd just keep the stock one until it fails. The stock one should handle power just fine. No point upgrading at this point. I'd wait around till more options are available.

There are many manufacturers for clutches. Exedy, Bully, Competition, ACT, Clutchmasters, F1, etc etc etc

They usually rate their clutches in stages.

Stage 1 being a bit more aggresive vs stock
Stage 2 is an entry level performance clutch but with a more snappy grab and the clutch is heavier. Not as easy to daily drive
Stage 3 is everything stage 2 is but more extreme
    Stage 4 ...
    Twin Disc ...
    etc etc ....
