K&n air filter doent fit the scion fr-s

on the k&n web site it shows the 33-2300 will fit. Howver its too tall and the air box wont close. its made for the 05 06 tc. theres another filter that people have said will work it fits the 2010 and up tc but i tried that and still too big. even had a teck try to put it in, no luck. has anyone found a solution?? I contacted k&n and they said they will look into it but have not had any other issues at this time.

You replaced the air filter already? That was quick! I haven't heard of anyone replacing the air filter yet so I can't help you there. Let us know what you find is the right model number from K&N

sounds good. ya i've had K&N air filters in almost every car ive owned. they pay for them selves. plus better air flow. I will let you guys know what happends but if anyone else has the same problem please post or contact k&n so they can get it fixed.

Push it in it will go ..... I got a tc air filter and it's off by 2mm it will go

how. i couldnt even close the lid. you got it in a fr-s with the lid sealed shut of half open??

but going to K&N Website states that a TC filter and FR-S Filter are different I wonder if ordering the TC one will work, I am going to go for the TRD one And I'll post pix and what not to let y'all know how it works!

I put the exact same K&N air filter into my FR-S today. Had to struggle a little but it fit.

Just bought a K&N air filter...waiting on its arrival...i hope it fits...How did you put it in your FRS? The buldging part faces me? or is the buldging part facing towards the bumper? I think there is a difference when installing the Air Filter??

I have the FRS k&n and it fit just fine. Snug fit like it should be!
