New video Chris Harris travels to Spain

Here a video I saw today guys of Chris Harris and the GT86. Hope it is not a re-post I wanted to post it in the News section but couldn't. The last min of this video made my final decision about this car vs the 370z I will be getting the FR-S

Here is the link just incase

Are you going to sell your G35 for the FR-S? The 370z is basically a more refined version of your G35. You sure you don't want to go for a 370z?

Yes I know what you mean about the refined version of my G. However, I really want a track car and from what you can see in my sig my car is mostly ready for that except every time something goes wrong with my car the price to fix it is horrible. I am a student and I work on the side until I am finished with my school and I think the FR-S would be a much better choice for me then tracking my G. And the only other car that I am actually considering is the S2000 I have loved that car since the first spy video I saw at the Nurburgring. I know it is kind of a downgrade for me when it comes to luxury and stuff like that but I really don't care about that all I want is a fun daily driver that I can take to the track and have a good weekend.

I was just about to recommend the S2000 to you. You should consider the S2000 if a track car is what you have in mind. The FR-S is a fun to drive car but in terms of actual performance around the track lapping it falls behind the S2000. The S2000 is a great track and autox chassis. And to make it better there are TONS and TONS of aftermarket performance parts. The stock F20/F22C motors are some well built motors. They can handle pressure well and take boost well without internal rebuilds. And the nice thing about S2000s in the used market is that most S2000 owners baby their cars. They don't drive them on the weekend so you have these mint low mileage s2000s that pop up in the market from time to time. And to back it up - if you are worried about maintenance cost the S2000 is amazing.

BTW here are photos of the new 370z

hahaha I was at the nissan dealer yesterday my friend works there he was showing me these same pics lol. But idk I am really really like the FR-S I guess I will be having to make the choice between the S2000 and the FR-S soon. Can I ask what made you pick the FR-S?

I had an S2000. I haven't decided on the FR-S yet. I actually will probably buy the BRZ instead. I need a daily driver.

My rsx is turning more and more into a track warrior.

As insane as it sounds it's either I buy a BRZ or FR-S to daily drive or I buy a TL type s. The TL isn't as fun to drive but its a 4 door and its more practical in that sense

I hope to pick up a S2000 sometime in the future and turn it into a boost monster

Honestly test drive all of them. Take the time now to test drive an S2000 (I suggest 04 or 05) and test drive the new 370z at a nissan dealership and when the FR-S or BRZ comes out test drive that.

    Here is my OPINION:

    For interior I would say
    370z>s2000>fr-s
For straight line performance I would say
    370z>s2000>fr-s
For track performance and handling I would say
    s2000>fr-s>370z
For bang for buck I would say
???? I actually have no idea. The S2000 and FR-S cost about the same. Same power. Lightweight. FR-S is more practical. The 370z cost more but is more powerful and has the best luxury.
For track only car I would say
    s2000>fr-s>370z
For daily driver I would say
    370z>fr-s>s2000
    Maintanence and cost of maintenance
    s2000>fr-s>370z
    For practicality
    fr-s>370z>s2000
    For gas mileage
    fr-s>s2000=370z

Wow those are some great points for daily driver I would pick the FR-S over the 370 and for fun to drive the S but I'm leaning more and more twards the frs every day. And one more thing I think the frs and s2000 maintenance cost should be the same if not less for the Toyota socially that the frs will be brand new and the S as clean as u might think it is still a used car.

The problem for me about cars like the FR-S or S2000 for daily driving. To get up to speed you will find yourself having to rev up to 4000rpm just to keep up with the speed of everyoen else. And this is in traffic. This is because there is no low end torque in the FR-S or S2000. In the 370z you can drive around in traffic easily and overpass easily without having to downshift or rev the car way up to 4000 5000rpm. On the track its not as big of a deal since you never really fall below 4000rpm anyways. The cooper S is a fun to drive car.

If you are set on the FR-S then theres no need to debate. I personally wouldn't buy a 370z. It's a great car but I'd pick either the S2000 or FR-S.

FR-S is still much cheaper than a 370Z, As far as the S2000 and FR-S should be about the same...

I'd choose the FR-S its a much... better round car, roof's for the win!

Personally I'd get the 370z. I have a 350z right now and my older brother has the new Civic Si. I've driven his car and its true that in the city its kind of hard to keep up to speed unless you give it tons of gas which in turn burns $$$. I swear we get the same mileage. I've raced him on short runs on the highway. Left him in the dust.

A coworker has the 370z convertible. With the roof down that thing is sweet in the summer. I don't know what you guys are talking about I think the interior is nice.
