    V8 powered Scion FR-S/86 - no longer a Poor Mans LF-A

So the swaps have begun. Oridos D1 drift Toyota 86 is going to be powered by a 2UR-GSE 5L V8 from the Lexus IS-F.

Going to be interesting to see how all that extra weight is going to affect handling.

The 2UR isnt a small engine. If they can fit that I am sure you can fit pretty much most V8s and V6s...

I love how noone has bothered to modify the stock FR-S motor. The only two modified Scion FR-S or Toyota 86 we have seen are the Cosworth STi swapped Greddy FR-S and now this mad V8 powered Toyota 86.

The 2UR-GSE is a 5.0 liter (4969 cc) engine and powers the Lexus IS-F. It has D4-S gasoline direct injection, Dual VVT-i, and VVT-iE on the intake cam. Bore of 94 mm and stroke of 89.5 mm, it will produce 423 PS (311 kW; 417 hp) at 6,600 rpm and 51.5 kg·m (505 N·m; 373 ft·lbf) at 5,200 rpm.

Crazy swap! going to be some weird weight distribution going on. Can't wait to see this project complete and in action, anymore info on this?

LSX swap would yield more power, but I understand using a Japanese based engine.

They really cant come up with a better spoiler design can they... but the build is coming along very very nicely

Hopefully they start selling those motor mounts...

Pretty sure IS-F custom motor mounts are one off. Who the hell can afford to swap a IS-F motor into a 86.

THey totally ripped that 86 apart to the frame. Jap guys work quickk

I wonder how much horsepower he is expecting out of the IS-F motor. Is he tuning it or turbocharging it? Or leaving it stock? How mucha re those motors putting down to the ground?
