The lightest version being the RC (the stripped down track version) only weights 2600lbs. That is without any serious weight reduction. You can already imagine how it is possible for this car to hit close to 2400lbs gutted, carbon fibered out, lightweight parts. That is LIGHT.

The Scion version will be similar to Japans GT Trim. So what do I know about the GT trim?

So to conclude:
Scion FR-S will be similar to the Toyota 86 GT
It is possible to make this car weigh 2600lbs without too much work and you might even be able to hit close to 2400lbs with alot of work and money.
