The car looks way better in person than the shots. I want to know if theyre going to produce the kit it make the car look badass!
Just so everyone is clear. Apparently the greddy sponsored Scion drift car does NOT host a stock FR-S motor. It is a cosworth STi motor.

after finding that out I was disappointed but it did make a lot of sense cause how would they be able to develop all parts needed to build on the stock FR-S engine to put out 600HP.
Can't wait for someone or some tuning company to build on the stock engine to see what numbers we can put out and how strong the FR-S engine is.
Hopefully it will be as "bulletproof" as the 2JZGTE!
Cosworth STi motor im very curious how those manifolds were designed and how everything was relocated and such!
Motor should just fit right in. Same engine mounts. Some things might be relocated but its not a hugely difficult task. Axels should just hook right up too.

If you're interested the tires on it are Hankook Ventus R-S3s. UTQG 140/A/A. They use the same compound as our Z214 race tires but are DOT approved for street use. They're actually a little sneaky for events that require DOT tires since they are a race compound. You can get them from tire rack if you'd like a set.
What are they compared to.? Do they compare to direzzas and ado8s?

I read somewhere long ago that the mounts for this motor and some STi motor were the same. Couldn't find it though. It is a Subaru motor so I don't see why it would be hard to swap the motor. There are much more complicated sways then putting a Subaru motor into a subaru.

They're in the same segment as the Bridgestone Potenza RE01R (or RE11), Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, Falken RT-615, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric, Nitto NT05, Pirelli P Zero, Toyo Proxes RA1 and the Yokohama Advan A048.
I'm not sure all the competitors patterns are still current I do more market analysis not much product work they should be though.
Interested to see how they would compare to the Z1s. They are probably best value for price and performance right now.
