Interesting. Wonder where they got this information from or whether it was 0-60s own personal testing. If anyone is wondering the results are

    0-60mph in 5.9 seconds

and a quarter mile of 15.3 seconds

From the same website: Other sports cars compared to the Scion FR-S. I do question how legitimate that website is. Where are they getting all the numbers from? User submits? Because users can say anything. "My 1996 Honda Civic does 0-60 in 5 seconds!"

2012 Honda Civic Si Sedan 0-60 mph 6.0 Quarter Mile 14.5
    2004 Honda S2000 0-60 mph 5.7 Quarter mile 14.0
    2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Turbo 0-60 mph 6.9 Quarter Mile 15.1
    2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder 0-60 mph 6.5 Quarter mile 15.0
1997 Toyota Supra Turbo 0-60 mph 5.0 Quarter mile 13.4
2002 Toyota Celica GTS 0-60 mph 7.2 Quarter mile 15.4
    2012 Volkswagon GTI Edition 35 DSG 0-60 mph 5.4 Quarter Mile 13.9
    2011 Nissan 370Z 0-60 mph 4.6 Quarter Mile 13.0
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR Touring 0-60 mph 5.2 Quarter Mile 13.8
    2010 Mazdaspeed 3 0-60 mph 5.1 Quarter Mile 13.7
    2011 Ford Mustang 0-60 mph 5.3 Quarter Mile 13.8
    2011 BMW 335is 0-60 mph 4.5 Quarter Mile 13.1
    2008 BMW 328i 0-60 mph 6.0 Quarter mile 14.62000
    Acura Integra Type-R 0-60 mph 6.1 Quarter mile 14.6
    2002 Acura NSX 0-60 mph 4.7 Quarter mile 13.2
    2005 Acura RSX-S 0-60 mph 6.3 Quarter mile 14.7

Thought about it and noticed something. Why is the quarter mile so slow if 0-60 is 5.9 seconds? If you compare it to reality I think the 0-60 is more likely to be 6.9 seconds for a quarter mile of 15 seconds.

So were paying $30k for a entry level sports coupe that does a 1/4 mile in 15.3 seconds. Scion is doing something wrong here. Is it the weight, did they make the FR-S a pig? Can D4-S be blamed? power to the wheels is something we need to find out. 200hp to the crank ( i guess) and to the wheels maybe 160?

If it really does make 160HP to the wheels 1/4 mile of 15.3 is expected.

If you compare it to the S2000.

    2004 Honda S2000 0-60 mph 5.7 Quarter mile 14.0

S2000 does quarter mile in 14 seconds compared to 15.3 seconds yet the FR-S can do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. Don't know but that is probably incorrect. Plus if it was using the OEM prius tires doubt launching 0-60 would hook the power up to get 5.9 seconds and still get a 0-60 time of 15 seconds.
