Toyota Discovers It Has To Partner With Other Companies To Make A Better Product

About time Toyota realized this. The last time we got a real sports car from Toyota was over 10 years ago.

What other companies should Toyota partner up with in the future?

Tradition-bound Toyota is starting to shake it up.

For decades, the Japanese automaking giant has preferred to go it alone, eschewing alliances with other automakers. But Bloomberg News points out that CEO Akio Toyoda is starting to make that change.
Toyoda agreed this month to equip some Toyota cars with BMW diesel engines. It wants to use battery packs from Tesla Motors in some of its electric cars. And remember that both Toyota and Subaru unveiled their own versions of the same car, the Scion FR-S sports car.

Toyota should partner up with Honda. That would be very interesting. Type R influence in Toyota car.

Then we might see some inline 6 engine that start revving higher and reline at 9k LOL.

I rather see Toyota team up with BMW, their engine lay down some serious power. Take the E46 M3 as an example, a 3.2L I6 Engine making 333hp and about 260 Torque, to me thats impressive. Toyota needs some of that technology in their engine's

A high revving Toyota might not be a bad thing. Highly doubt Toyota would reach for the Germans.

Well, they're already partnered up with Aston Martin. I would like to see some of their technologies shared with Toyota.
