    Modified Scion FR-S by Greddy

EDIT: Added public shots of the Greddy FR-S and a VIDEO of the car and EXHAUST NOTE. Verry aggresive note. GO check it out.

Along with the red production model, Scion also unveiled a modified version of the FR-S. Built by GReddy, this black example featured small, but significant, aftermarket additions.

Although the body remained untouched, the GReddy FR-S showed a glimpse of the tuning potential of the FR-S.

The RAYS Progressiv forged wheels measured 19x8.5 +45 at the front and 19x9.5 +45 at the rear. The front brakes were fitted with four-piston GReddy calipers.

We spent a fair bit of time on our hands and knees looking up the FR-S' skirt. Now, Toyota and Scion have stated that they built the 86/FR-S with the enthusiast in mind, and on first impressions they weren't lying. I'm sure many of us will appreciate the lip of the rear fender, which is folded back.

The +45 offset used on the GReddy FR-S were on the conservative side, so larger widths or lower offsets can be accomodated.

    GReddy's FR-S also had a twin-exit titanium muffler.

This is what the factory muffler looks like...

...And this is the GReddy replacement.

GReddy have also developed coilovers for the FR-S. In my opinion, just the ride height and wheel change have dramatically transformed the FR-S' appearance.

The Scion still retains the 86 Boxer badge on the front fenders.

The interior featured blue alcantara inserts on the seats.

The Scion FR-S will be available in seven colours, and after seeing this example, I'm sure many buyers will be opting for black.

19x8.5 +45 at the front and 19x9.5 +45 at the rear. wow... 19s look quite large maybe 18s would be more suitable in my opinion. 45 offset with OEM camber. This car should handle 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear with a 30 offset fine with a more aggressive camber. I really love the greddy ti exhaust on it. The coilovers made me all excited. This probably means we'll be seeing coilovers for this car quite soon.

The 86 badge on the front is just pure gangster. Gonna debadge this thing as soon as I get it. No Scion badges for me. I do like the black though. It would probably be the color I am going to go for. Man this is exciting.

One thing is for sure. Those rear sway bars are way too thin. Greddy should have came out with some thicker sway bars for the FR-S.

The things I would do for a sound clip right about now. I would LOVE to hear how that Greddy exhaust sounds.

The tires are quite thin on the Greddy model car. Wonder what size the tires are.. There is still more room for tire and more lowering. Even lowered the axels still look like they are relatively straight. Not bad.

I would like to know more about the Greddy Calipers. Greddy makes calipers? I didnt even know that. Are the stock FR-S brakes 4 pot?

NO info on the stock calipers yet. The rumors are 4 pot. Scion needs to release information on available TRD parts for the FR-S.

What do you guys think about the Exhaust? The piping seems to be about .25 inches or .5 inches larger then the OEM one. The OEM piping actually isn't that thin. Its a decent size.

I am trying to figure out whether the Greddy is a catback or an axelback. Is the midpipe the same for both the OEM and Greddy photo? They look similar..

Pretty much what I thought. Drop with some wheels make all the difference.

I would just get EIBACH Springs and not do all out for coilovers. Too much to spend on this car. 19's look about perfect although the ride will surely suffer and I wonder what it adds to the weight. The exhaust is killer with the Ti tips. Good stuff overall. Add a CF rear deck lip, side skirts and front lip and it will be downright awesome looking. I think white for me with some matte bronze wheels and some CF accents. I am also leaning blue.

For performance 18s might be better vs 19s. Those 19s have some pretty thin profile tires.

Honestly those aren't the greatest pics.... I would love to see a full side view so we can see the "stance" on this thing with the coilovers. Can anyone find a better pic of the GReddy FR-S?

For this reason, when I get a FR-S having 18's or even 17's for the track and 19's for bling will be the way i go!
Gotta have the best of both worlds.
