Hello Everyone,
I'm tawmy and I'm new here to the FR-Sforum. I live here in Canada where the opening sequence of the first X-Men movie took place.
I went to the Scion website in late November 2012 to look at the Scion tC that i wanted to buy and discovered the Scion Fr-S. I was driving my FR-S less than a week later in early December because I didn't want to wait for a MT which would have to be ordered from the factory. I bought the 'in-stock' 'Manumatic' in the Hot Lava colour (i'm Canadian) which I would have ordered anyway.
The 'Hot Lava' is basically the same colour as my 'Copper' 1975 Nova.
I've driven and owned all kinds of cars, trucks (4-18 wheelers) and motorbikes since I was 13, and the FR-S is definitely the most fun for sheer driving excitement. There are so many ways and roads to drive the FR-S manumatic in Snow/Sport modes with 'The Stick', wheel paddles or just chillax with the smooth quick response slushbox ... never boring. After driving my big rig all day it's nice not needing to use my left leg to drive home, even though in a rig I only use the clutch to start and stop.
Anyway, I look forward to learning more about you and your FR-S / BRZ ( Toybaru / Subayota ) eXperiences.
Drive hard and drive safe.
tawmy
