Hi there!
I just joined the forum because I am pretty excited about Toyota getting back into the rear wheel drive sport coupe game. I have been waiting for years to see if they would resurrect the Supra, but the FR-S is looking like the total package; an economical car that I could drive to work without going broke paying for fuel, but also a sporty weapon to take to the track on weekends.
I currently drive a 2003 Camry (4cyl, 5 speed) with over 300k Kms on the odometer. We also have a 2006 Rav4 as a family vehicle.
When I was young, I watched as my father abandoned GM after his 1988 truck went through a couple engines and a few transmissions. He bought a Tundra the year they came out and it has proven to haul with great ease and costs very little in maintenance. Toyota's have a reputation for reliability for a reason.
I know Scion is relatively new in Canada. With the launch of the FR-S, i bet their street credibility is about to improve. Can anyone tell me if they know of any Scion amateur track days that have happened or will be happening in Southern Ontario?
Thanks.
