Just a Hello!

Finally decided to join. Like many of you I have been following the development of this car for some time. I believe it is going to be the car I have waited on since I passed my beloved '93 MR2 to my mother (which by the way she still continues to drive everyday with over 200k strong). I have went through several cars since then, including a Miata, RX8, and my current car 328i coupe. Out of those three the RX8 was by far the best "drivers" car but not the most reliable or fuel efficient. If Toyota will keep the price in line and not skip on some other desirable options I believe this will be my ideal car. Chris

Thanks for the welcome. I cannot say yet when I will buy one. I like what I see so far but will of course want to see how Scion prices it, types of options, etc. As far a reviews and comparison tests go, I feel pretty good about the initial test that have been done, however the real review will come when I take one out for a test drive. You can only depend on auto press so much when it comes to reviewing a car, as it's a matter of personal taste sometimes. And for comparisons..... there is really not a lot to compare it to. I have seen the Miata brought up many times on this forum (and in this month's copy of MotorTrend) but don't really see enough similarities to believe these two cars will be cross-shopped. Maybe a shopper thinking about a FR-S would also consider the Genesis Coupe 2.0T or possibly even a GTI...but who knows.

Unfortunately, I do not have any pics available of my RX8 or Miata available. I probably could dig up one of the MR2, but do have my other two current rides listed with a photo.
