Or of course, if they work some engine magic like the S2000, but I doubt they would do that.

Would you ever swap an S2000 engine into your STI?
I just read that the engine will be 200hp with toyota designed and manufactured cylinder heads on the Subaru engine...it was either in Automobile mag or the january road and track...I was at the dentist for two hours and am still numb.
This car will be a monster with a turbo. Usually with a turbo-back exhaust, intake, and a tune, you will get around 75hp out of a turbo motor. So, it will be around 325hp if we get the 250hp turbo motor from the Suburu. Due to it's light weight, this car will easily outrun and out handle an Evo X with just 325hp. Actually, with it being stock, it will be possibly be an Evo killer if we get 250hp from the factory.

Don't forget about that sound! I'll be rolling on the throttle in 4th gear all day, gas mileage be damned!
I doubt toyota will offer a turbocharged version unless its a track ready version thats been stripped
but im expecting at least 160 hp from toyota and the same amount of torque that is listed
i want alot more then 120kw!! unless that is at the wheels!

Why not check out all my sites I run, also let all your friends know too :P
They'll be competing with the genesis coupe. That has a turbo, so why not the toyota?
thats true... but they want to make it cheaper then the genesis so that is one way of cost cutting. but they are using turbos on the impreza an all the other subarus so don't see how much extra it would cost to develop a turbo.

Turbo is a must. I like lots of power.
I'm sure there will be plenty of ways to bump up the factory engine.
All I can say is if they don't make a turbo version they're shooting themselves in the foot. The Subaru engine IS a turbo engine, so building one will only be a pen flick away. Even if it is a bit pricier the street cred it would build alone would be worth the 'lower sales volumes.' But regardless, if they don't build it they'll lose sales. Like I said earlier, I'm not buying one unless it has a turbo.
toyota went down hill, i think ill pass on this car
