That is some really slow times dude... it almost seem as if the car is fast 0-60 time but a terrible 1/4 time, AKA NO NOT RACE V6 powered minivans! LOL

1/4 mile time: 15.3 ...................................... im not impressed at all, thats just as good as a Civic. Ah well the FR-S/86/BRZ was made with drifting in mind and ciruit racing. Although it gets a slow 1/4 mile time, the okay 0-60 time should help it with ciruit racing through the turns.

Who cares, these are going to be daily drivers, not race track prepped. The amount of people who will actually track this car will be miniscule, just like all cars.

sounds like bs to me... how accurate is the info? the 0-60 time seems too fast, and 1/4 mile seems too slow

Transmission gearing. Sounds right to me. Nice first/second gear, crappy up top for MPG. Long slow RPM build through the quarter. What does not add up?

Who cares about 0-60 times on a car like this? It's meant to carve corners, not mindlessly drive in a straight line.

OK, that is an extremely small niche to fill. I don't know too many people that get to "carve corners" on their daily commute. You must be assuming this is going to be a toy for most people then.

I'll be interested in the aftermarket support for the FR-S. Even though the stock power output might not be the greatest, for all we know this could be a bullet proof engine that can handle a good amount of power before serious internal engine work is needed.

I hope you are right. THe FR-S is a great platform for imrovements to be made. Not a rocket out of the box though thats for sure.

It is. This car is just slightly bigger than a Miata. Buying this car for straight-line speed is as dumb as buying an AWD car for roll racing.

I hope so too, it would do a lot with improving everything about the FR-S/BRZ/Toyota 86/Toyota GT 86. Toyota has had a good rep for strong engines, not sure about Subaru.

    We'll find out soon enough.
