Scion fr-s 0-60/ 1/4 mile times released!!!!!!!

I am a new member but i have been following this car from the beginning... I do know that the JDM GT86 weights range from 2601 for the rc version all the way up to 2750 for the premium model... and with 200hp at the crank and a remarkable 170whp... 15% drivetrain loss, that this thing will do the quarter mile anywhere from 14.6 to 14.8 straight out of the box... even better numbers are attainable if you replace those prius tires... it will be faster than a 2006 Acura RSX type S... 15.3 makes absolutely no sense what so ever given the weight and power... but those 0-60 times look correct to me, also when i went to the posted sight it appears they removed the 1/4 mile time...

When the FR-S is out we'll see how correct that 1/4 mile time really is with different drivers behind the wheel.
I think 15.3 was on the premium model FR-S. I bet the bare bones Toyota 86 can go high 14's

15.3 its not even a weight issue i think, its the gearing 3rd and 4th gear are pretty long i would assume and is more suited for daily driving.


very rarly in a drag race will you hit 5th and 6th gears atleast in our power range...

acording to the specs i saw was a 14.9 in 1/4

It's definitely going to depend on altitude and conditions. Put any car at 6000ish feet and it will slow down considerably.

I'm pretty sure the FR-S will do the quarter mile in less than 15 seconds. Just knowing how the car compares to new Civic Si's and other similar vehicles, which normally run between 14.5 and 15.0, makes me think the 15.3 time is not too accurate.
