hood scoop

i noticed the fr-s concept doesn't have a hood scoop (or maybe it is) but it does have some sort of air vent where the hood and bumper meet, is this for the radiator? or is it just some fancy cosmetic thing. It just seems too far off to be a hood scoop, very much unlike the typical hood scoop you see.

any word out yet if the production model will come with a "hood scoop" like below? or any hood scoop at all?

why would it need a hood scoop for? its not that big of an engine nor is it forced induction lol

i also don't see the point for a hood scoop

maybe a small vent somewhere near the intake just so the FR-S can breathe better.
If it came with a turbo then by all means go ahead but what are the chances of us getting a FR-S Turbo from the factory? Scion seems to be tight lipped on a FR-S turbo variant.

Don't be fooled by that little vent on the concept. It looks really useless to me and probably just another cosmetic thing to make the FR-S more sporty like. Who knows, it might serve a purpose just unsure what.

Might just be an airduct for more cold air flow into the motor, as Cold air has lest moisture and etc and etc! it might just be there just for better breathing of the motor and cooling. even though its an N/A it could be a Highcompression N/A
