    Carbon Fiber Parts

How does everyone feel about Carbon Fiber parts? Will you be upgrading anything on your car to carbon fiber?

I really like carbon fiber parts in the interior. You know, changing out the gauge surrounds and stuff like that with the carbon fiber look. As for exterior, I may consider a hood but thats it.

Front lip would be nice but I think the car is low as it is, the lip will be scrapping off the crappy roads around here and I'd lose it and my bumper in no time.

Would love to put a ton of CF into the interior. I would buy it if it was available

Carbon Fiber hood is always such an attractive option but unless you pay big bucks it seems like the fitment is always terrible. You will have gaps at all the seams and it generally looks funny up close.

Aftermarket parts have to be a good price and need to have a performance bonus and for most carbon fiber its expensive and not much gains.

theres alot of gain for carbonfiber thats why it cost the most cause its the lightest and the strongest out there. lighter = better

If you wanna save weight then get a lighter battery, move it to the rear and take out your spare/tool kit. You'll probably lose more weight and it'll cost you a better battery.

I think that the european design group was very tasteful with the carbon on the first concept. I am not a huge fan of carbon, but it looked great the way they arranged it. They seemed to use it to replace black plastics and accent in small ways. If I purchased a carbon fiber hood, it would be for weight and I would not want it glossed, I would want to paint it to match.
