Tail light housing painting?

I've seen the DIY for taking apart the headlights and painting the inside of the housing, I was wondering if anyone has done this or seen pictures of it done to the tail lights as well? I don't see why you can't, the brake lights are separate from the housing, and you could leave the reflectors surrounding the turn signals untouched so they're still bright. Any thoughts?

What color did you want to paint the tail light?

I have the headlight housing in the oven right now, gonna be painting it gloss black with copper flake (to be a little different). Was thinking about doing the same in the taillight housing, already did the emblems the same.

Don't know how that would look for the tail light. But if you try post up some photos.

I used automotive paint and painted and tinted mine. Used metallic flake and pearl to match. Id post pic but it will have to wait. Photobucket on my tablet is allowing me to copy links.
